Dragon

So I'm sorry to say I haven't drawn a dragon in some time. I think this guy makes up for it though.

Comic 18

This idea was conceived in about ten seconds while 'Too Little Too Late' was playing in the background.

Heart

I just realized two days ago that it was October so I worked out a piece that had been brewing in my mind for a while now. I've been picking at it for a while now and I think this hunny is finally done.

Happy Halloween.

Comic 9

Still chillin' at DV.

Comics 7 and 8

These comics illustrate my recent experience at my old school where I was a guest speaker for career day. It was a great way to tell kids about freelance illustration and honestly they were really blown away by my presentation. More than once I was swarmed by students who wanted autographs; one girl even had me sign her ruler. Though I did have to disappoint some of them on a few points as the later comic depicts.

And I honestly do not remember my junior high school bell being THAT loud and sharp.

Comic 4

Comic #4. I hate to say it but I think the best and most fluid line work comes from the tablet.

Comic 2

Comic two, characters done with good old pencil and paper this time but still toned with the tablet; thing's like a drug.

New comic

A quick comic to illustrate how I constantly feel. Cooked this one up within the hour with the help of the tablet. It certainly makes illustrating the same frame easy but on the other hand it's accompanied by a more stale quality. I have a few more comic ideas for these guys but I might continue them with traditional medium.

Photoshop + crash = Triumph

So Photoshop crashed on me in the middle of a drawing. In a post suicidal rage I spent the last three hours painting this. I usually don't save my quicker painting sketches but this one came out pretty good. May even be portfolio worthy after a few more touchups.

These accidental pieces born of failure always throw me.

When a demon gives birth

So last night I was seeing an excessive amount of statuses and updates concerning pregnancy so I was...'inspired' to come up with this piece. The concept is one I always wanted to try.

It's better if you don't ask.

Mermaid

This was one of those 'conceived and produced within the hour' concepts. It all started with that expression then apparently my next thought was 'mermaid'...followed by 'goofy fish'...

.....

...I might need to seek psychiatric counseling.

Creature sketch #14

Went back to the old creature sketches today. Lately my pieces have been all people and I've missed conjuring up the occasional slime-lathered hell spawn.

Still working vigorously...

Still more sketches to upload to keep me convinced that I am being productive. I AM being productive, I AM being productive. I - am - being - PRODUCTIVE.

The last of these sketches was a fun jab at male modeling as well as a parodying callout to a classic statue.

Sketching updates

Today my sketchbook informed me that I was behind on my sketching. I informed it that it was mistaken, it informed me that I was a lazy bum, I called it a name that rhymes with 'clucking bunt'...

This continued for some time and then this was the result of us making up...

Teen sketches

Uggh, teenagers are weird to draw. Friggin' kids.

"Oh no! Not teenagers!"
Bonus points if you know who said that. Hint; it was a robot from the 90's.
